Lead Web Applications Engineer

I manage the software side of QPC's web applications and server environments. On a daily basis, I work with a number of departments — including IT, database administrators, and a team of developers — to lead the design and development of all web applications, public facing as well as internal dashboards and workflow tools. As part of this role I serve as the main technical contact for our call center vendors, where I manage support for a number of systems, including a browser-based phone script application, outbound phone queue web services, and an automated recording retrieval and delivery system. During my employment, I have been instrumental in designing several key processes: a .NET / SQL Server Reporting Services mailer application, a centralized application scheduling-and-reporting framework, and a web service to expose our substantial database of professional licenses, odometer readings and VINs.

I was responsible for leading the design and development of custom public and private facing web-based, database-driven applications for clients in various industries like international wholesale e-commerce (www.viamotif.com), Internet coupon advertising (www.gogocoupons.com), large-scale corporate moving and storage (Petrini Van & Storage), and high-tech manufacturing (Persys Engineering, Inc.). I was also responsible for preparing project proposals, estimates, and timelines. I coordinated activities between the marketing department and development staff by attending sales meetings to exchange status updates, and met with customers to define project requirements.
